Workshop: "How to Write a Lot"

Time:
Thursday, September 21, 2017 - 5:00 PM to 6:15 PM
Location:
LSC Garage Room

The Professional Development Committee (PDC) is dedicated to helping YOU become a prolific writer. Writing is an indispensable skill for graduate school and beyond, and we want to help you manage a writing schedule, set (and achieve!) writing goals, and tell your stories to the world!

If you are interested in learning more about developing good writing habits, come to the Language Science Center Thursday, Sept. 21, from 5:00 - 6:15pm

We will discuss the book "How to Write a Lot," by Paul J. Silvia (totally legally attached below, 80 pages of light reading), talk about our current writing habits and barriers to writing, decide what kind of writing group(s) we'd like to form, and set a writing-group meeting schedule for the semester.

The PDC is committed to helping you manage your time and develop skills necessary for a career in academia. Writing is critical for all researchers. Even if you're not interested in joining a writing group this semester, come to the kickoff party to learn about Graduate School Writing Center resources and best practices for writing a LOT! Also, snacks.
