My research interests lie in the realm of psycholinguistics: I am interested in how language and memory interact. I am trying to understand how syntactic information (such as relations between parts of syntactic structure) is encoded in working memory and how it can be retrieved.
To do this, I am looking at what is called “grammaticality illusions”: cases where people fail to notice an error (e.g. in subject-verb agreement) under time pressure, despite being able to notice it if given enough time. In particular, I am looking at subject-verb gender agreement in Russian and resolution of anaphoric dependencies in English.
