I am an Assistant Research Professor in the Language Science Center and the local director of the Guatemala Field Research Station. I teach at the Facultad de Educación of Universidad del Valle de Guatemala, Campus Altiplano.
My research focuses on the documentation and acquisition of Mayan languages of Guatemala and Mexico, especially Q’anjob’al, Mam, Ch’ol, and Chuj. My work on Q’anjob’al and Chuj evaluates the development of verb morphology.
Advancing an integrated science of language, through research and training that links fundamental science with applications in education, technology, and health.
