Language Science Day 2015

Language Science Day (LSD) is the flagship event of the year’s language science activities and gives students and faculty an opportunity to showcase ongoing projects, facilitates networking among participants, and improves awareness of research and training opportunities at the University of Maryland. Each year, the event brings together over 200 language science researchers from 17 departments and UMD-affiliated institutions in order to exchange ideas and interact and communicate with each other in a series of social events. We invite you to participate in this year’s LSD by accessing the INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION page!

There will also be a poster session at this year's LSD showcasing the research done at UMD and affiliated institutions. Simply sign up on the POSTER REGISTRATION page. If you are part of a research group interested in participating in the poster session, please note that only one registration per group is needed. (Note: All group registrants must also register individually!).

This year LSD will be held on September 25th, from 12-5pm at the Riggs Alumni Center. Find out about people's latest research endeavors over lunch and learn about opportunities for collaborative research through student and faculty presentations. Poster sessions will also provide a chance to learn more about each other's research interests. We will end the day with our signature ‘Science is Social’ dinner at 6:00pm and party at Colin Phillips & Andrea Zukowski’s house.
