Winter Storm 2015

Winter Storm is the Language Science Center's free, two-week intensive annual workshop for language scientists, taking place this year January 12-23. This year's theme is How to be a MODEL language scientist. Since communication is a key element in making a community like ours a success, the aim for this year's Winter Storm is to advance not only the professional development of our individual community members, but also the development and growth of the Language Science community as a whole.

The organizing committee has scheduled an exciting lineup of workshops, focusing on cross-disciplinary and public-facing communication skills, tools for scientific modeling, general professional development, and more. The schedule is listed below. To register for Winter Storm 2015, click here.

Winter Storm 2015 location information:

Workshop sessions will be held in the Maryland Language Science Center in 0121 Taliaferro Hall.
Lunch talks will be held in Skinner 0200.
Special Interest Group individual locations can be found on SIG abstracts page.
House party address will be provided with Winter Storm program. Happy Hour will take place at Looney's Pub.
