The Studio for Literary Technology is hosting an insightful lecture and conversation on what LLMs mean for writing, with Dr. Hannes Bajohr (Berkeley) and conversant Dr. Matthew Kirschenbaum (UVA). Bajohr’s research focuses on 20th century German thought, theories of the digital, and writing and AI.

The Studio for Literary Technology, a newly-launched dynamic entity within the English Department dedicated to events and encounters that help students and faculty explore Large Language Models, artificial intelligence, and computational narrative systems in this new era of literary technologies that are rapidly disrupting and recalibrating how fields like English and the humanities understand writing, literature, and authorial creativity
