Nicholas Pandza

Nick is a Ph.D. student in the Second Language Acquisition program and a Faculty Research Specialist working in cognitive neuroscience and SLA at the University of Maryland Center for Advanced Study of Language. He is also a certified MR Operator at the Maryland Neuroimaging Center. Before coming to the University of Maryland, he completed his M.S. in Applied Linguistics at Georgetown University, where he was the Lab Manager for the Georgetown University Psycholinguistics Laboratory. He completed his B.A. in Spanish and Japanese Language and Culture at the Florida State University with a minor in Linguistics. His papers have been presented at conferences such as the Conference for the American Association for Applied Linguistics, Conference for the European Second Language Association, Georgetown University Round Table on Languages and Linguistics, and Korean Association of Teachers of English, and published in journals such as the International Journal of Innovation in English Language Teaching and Research. His research interests include issues such as lexical access, speech perception, executive control, and psychometrics.
