About:
My interests are primarily in syntax, which I see as a window to the way we produce and process language. I am currently looking at issues relating to clause structure and "rightward" movement phenomena, such as Heavy NP Shift and extraposition.
I am also interested in issues related to language contact and variation, especially in the Southeast Asia context. I was also previously with the Yale Grammatical Diversity Project, documenting and mapping syntactic phenomena within varieties of North American English.
