Day 1: Why Model?
As scientists, we are all engaged in the systematic study of natural phenomena.
We make observations, ask scientific questions, and do experiments to provide answers to those questions. And to do this, we all use models.
On the first day of the workshop we explore how the process of making scientifically testable predictions can be thought of as formalizing the behavior of a theoretical system.
