LSC Workshop: Informational interviews

Are you interested in learning about careers outside academia, but don't know how? Informational interviews are a critical part of learning about career options and building your professional network. In this session, we'll talk about how to make intitial contact, how to conduct the conversation, and how to follow up afterwards. Most importantly, you can participate in one of two actual informational interviews during the workshop! Groups of participants will be talking to two cognitive scientists currently working outside academia: Emma Gregory, Research Scientist at the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center, who completed her PhD in Cognitive Science at Johns Hopkins University in 2010, and Christine Boylan, Data Scientist at Goodyear, who completed her PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience, Cognitive Psychology, and Psycholinguistics at the University of Pennsylvania in 2015.
