LSC Workshop: Crafting your elevator pitch

Time:
Tuesday, March 28, 2017 - 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM
Location:
2130 H.J. Patterson Hall (LSC)

The LSC Communication & Professional Development Committee will be hosting a session on crafting your elevator pitch.  An elevator pitch is a brief (1-2 minute) description of your research, typically for someone who is not in your immediate field.  These pitches are useful for a range of situations, including job interviews, outreach, talking to policy makers, etc.  If you don't have one, now is your chance to make one!

This session will follow-up on the Winter Storm Elevator Pitch session to provide you with the opportunity to practice what you learned.  If you didn't attend the first session, don't despair!  Dr. Nan Ratner will facilitate the session and will give a brief intro to the basics of crafting an elevator pitch.  Afterwards, participants will break into smaller groups to practice giving their pitches.

If you plan to attend, please RSVP here.
