Title: The Theoretical Perspectives on Interactive Information Retrieval

Abstract: In this talk, Kevin will briefly introduce his past works with Information Foraging and Search Economic Theories to explain web search behavior and then offering a perspective on how the theory from Behavioural Economics can augment our understanding of web search behavior in Interactive Information Retrieval.

Bio: Kevin Ong is an aspiring scientist and experienced lecturer.  He is a PhD student at RMIT University, under the supervision of Prof Mark Sanderson and A. Prof. Falk Scholer in the field of interactive information retrieval. My studies is supported by the APA scholarship.

He has also also taught at the tertiary level for the past 5 years in various topics. He can be reached for networking and other business opportunities.
